When we started our company in 1997 we chose Vancouver’s downtown eastside for the location of our first operation. Immediately after moving in and becoming a part of the Strathcona community the need to give back and support this fantastic area became crystal clear. We began by participating in community clean-ups, paint-outs and mural programs that helped to beautify the neighborhood and improve the quality of life for all Strathcona residents.
By 2000 we had expanded our efforts to include the support of street youth programs and safe housing initiatives. As Goodbye Graffiti™ Vancouver grew more successful Goodbye Graffiti™ Inc was launched and a network of franchises sprang up across Canada. With this growth the list of beneficiaries continued to grow.
To date The Goodbye Graffiti™ Group of Companies has donated and raised over $750,000 for charity.
Our current list of financial beneficiaries include; The Canucks Autism Network, Coast Mental Health, Camp Eureka, Covenant House Vancouver, The Kidney Foundation, IWK Children’s Hospital, and the Sainte- Justine UHC Foundation along with many others.
Our Goodbye Graffiti™ Franchise group has a Charity Committee to coordinate our efforts nationally. While our local franchisees continue to donate time and money to clean up and beautify countless locations across Canada and the United States.
We take pride in our accomplishments and look forward to continuing our efforts for years to come. The many benefits are not only experienced by the communities we work in. Equally beneficial is one’s ability to step back and see your efforts paying off in tangible and personal ways for the people who we live and work with everyday.
