Convention 2015

Now that we have all settled back in our own markets we get a chance to reflect upon Convention 2015.  This year the entire Goodbye Graffiti™ network gathered in our nation’s capital city Ottawa.  Our group came together from May 23-May 26, we worked hard and played hard.  We were able to initiate several great projects for the year to come and reinforce our bond as a group of dedicated business people in a niche market.

We began our convention the night of Tuesday May 23rd started out with a tour of the Byward Market and a welcome reception at the Heart and Crown Irish Pub where good times were had by all.  Wednesday morning we started out bright and early and awarded our groups excellent achievements of the previous year.  We reviewed our mobile applications, our new library and our municipal initiatives.  Wednesday afternoon we toured Canada’s parliament, which was truly a great experience.  Back at Thursday morning we reviewed social media, SEO  programs and our new app. We also heard from the Goodbye Graffiti Franchise Association and our Paint Supplier Dulux.  Thursday afternoon a limo bus arrived to take us to our Dulux sponsored golf tournament at Emerald Links, thank-you to Neil and Perry for joining us and sponsoring such a great event.  Brent Bowman of Goodbye Graffiti Toronto East, Katie Lee of Goodbye Graffiti Toronto West, Kendra Klemke of Goodbye Graffiti Inc and Michael West of Goodbye Graffiti Ottawa all took home prizes for their efforts.

From Goodbye Graffiti™ Inc to all of our Franchisees, Sponsors and Vendors.  Thank-you for making Ottawa 2015 a great success.  Look forward to seeing everyone in Montreal in 2016.

If you are in Halifax or Ottawa you might see our Goodbye Graffiti™ teams cleaning up graffiti for Exclaim!

Goodbye Graffiti Seattle – 2015 Green Globe Winner

Congratulations to Laurie Spivack and the team at Goodbye Graffiti Seattle for being named a 2015 Green Globe Winner.

King County Executive Dow Constantine on April 20 honored 14 businesses, cities, organizations and people for the work they’re doing to protect and improve the local environment. The Green Globe Awards are the County’s highest honor for local environmental efforts.

Goodbye Graffiti Seattle was named Leader in Environmentally Sustainable Business Practices

Goodbye Graffiti’s sustainable business practices have earned it 5-Star certification from the EnviroStars program. It uses a water-borne wax coating for porous surfaces specially formulated by their parent company, which allows for graffiti removal with little or no hazardous product and up to 80 percent less water. Vehicles have built-in wastewater collection technology they pioneered, and graffiti removal sites are bermed, to ensure no releases to the stormwater system. It also uses electric fleet vehicles, educates customers and other businesses with EnviroStars materials, and its weekly maintenance program has proven to lower the incidence of graffiti.

Congratulation to Laurie Spivack and the team at Goodbye Graffiti Seattle for achieving 5-Star Envirostars Certification.

The EnviroStars Program was created in King County, Washington in 1995, as a service of the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program. It has since been adopted across the region in Jefferson, Kitsap, Pierce, Skagit, Spokane, and Whatcom Counties.

The mission of EnviroStars is to provide assistance and incentives for smaller businesses to reduce hazardous materials and waste, in order to protect public health, municipal systems, and the environment.

The EnviroStars Cooperative received a prestigious “Most Valuable Pollution Prevention Program” award from the National Pollution Prevention Roundtable, in Washington DC (2006).

The EnviroStars Program was honored with the Washington Governor’s Award for Pollution Prevention & Sustainability (1999)
